The New Ford F-350 Combines Value and Comfort

The Ford F-350 has a robust suspension and optional dual rear wheels to handle some of the world's toughest jobs. It has a soft side as well, thanks to features such as massaging climate-controlled seats and other advanced technologies. As part of the automaker's Super Duty lineup, the new F-350 can seat up to six passengers depending on the configuration. It's available in six trims and all come with a V8 engine and a six-speed auto transmission. RWD is standard and AWD is available at Lufkin Ford.

Exterior Styling

The F-350 has an aggressively-styled face with a prominent bumper and split-bench grille bars, but its dramatic headlights add a little modernity. Dual rear wheel-equipped models can be recognized by their wide rear fenders. The F-350's standard configuration is a regular cab with an eight-foot bed; Ford also sells crew and super cab versions with rear-hinged or traditional rear doors. Both of the four-door styles in Lufkin can be had with a six-foot or an eight-foot bed.

The F-350 comes with tow hooks, auto halogen headlights, manual-adjustment trailer mirrors, 17-inch steel wheels, and a removable, lockable tailgate. The cargo bed can be had with numerous enhancements, such as LED lighting, loading ramps, an assist step, and a keyless tailgate release. Upscale touches include LED lighting, a dual-panel moonroof, heated mirrors, and larger aluminum alloy wheels.

Interior Luxury

The new F-350's dashboard has angular housing for the climate control vents and center stack; it's accentuated by the instrument panel's creased hood. Lower and upper glove boxes are standard, and all cab options have a split-bench seat in the front. Under-the-seat storage is standard on four-door models.

The base F-350 is a rugged work truck with vinyl seating, AC, manual locks and windows, and manual tilt/telescoping steering. Higher trim levels and a long list of options can bring numerous desirable features. Not only will you find the massaging seats mentioned above, but you will also find equipment such as heated rear bucket seats, a leather-covered steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control.

The F-350's standard powertrain is a 6.2-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. There's an available 6.7-liter V8 with 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque. All trims come with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed auto; AWD is available on every model. F-350s are also available with a dual rear wheel and a gooseneck trailer package, which allows for a towing capability of up to 21,000 pounds.

The base F-350 does not come with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system or Bluetooth connectivity. However, it does have a backup camera, a 2.3-inch instrument cluster display, and AM/FM radio. There are quite a few tech upgrades for drivers in Crockett, TX to consider, including Ford's Sync 3 system, navigation, an eight-inch touchscreen, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, mobile W-iFi, and Bang & Olufsen audio.

Safety Features

Optional safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, brake-supported forward collision notification, and a trailer towing camera system. Here, you will have up to seven camera lenses, including one that can be detached and mounted on the rear of the trailer. For additional backing-up help, or to get into a tight spot, an available adaptive steering setup can adjust the amount of effort required to turn the steering wheel.
